When launching the iPad DirecTV app on my iPad it acts like I am not connected to my network and will only allow streaming of out of network programming. The app identifies both of my receivers which are on the same network and they can be controlled by the remote function of the app, but all of the in-network channels are grayed out in the programming list.
This has been an on and off problem for quite some time and through different versions. Previously, a restart of the iPad fixed the problem for a while, but since the latest update of the app it is not working. Note that running the iPhone app on the same iPad through the same wireless connection allows me to access the in-network channels.
Details:
iPad: Air 2 Model MD512LL/A running iOS 8.3
Wireless: ASUS Dual Band RT-AC66R- connecting via the 2g or 5g radio makes no difference. Connecting via in-network connection, not through guest network.
DirecTV app: 4.0.2
DirecTV Network; 2 receivers connected via DECA which is hard wired to the ASUS router.
UPDATE: 1 week without a reply...I guess all of the technical Support people are still on holiday.
